SANTINIKETAN INSTITUTE OF POLYTECHNIC
The Santiniketan Institute of Polytechnic founded in 2010 is located at rural backdrop far from the madding crowd. Still all the facilities of Bolpur and Santiniketan are within easy and comfortable reach. The impact of Tagores school is well felt here. Santiniketan being very close to Santiniketan Institute of Polytechnic the cultural traditions of Visva-Bharati cast a magic spell all around. The students and teachers are deeply imbued with Rabindranath Tagore's mission and educational concepts.
The setting is not only serene and solemn,but also intimately attached to nature, which is vibrant with the notes of birds, whispering wind, mesmerizing fragrance of flowers and of course, the positive nod of tree-tops.Any casual visitor to the campus of the SIP may also be accorded with a warm welcome from patrons, pupils and personal. Out and out it is humane.
SIP was dreamt, then materialized and is now being run by ‘SWADHIN’ a Society for Welfare and Development of Human initiatives. However, SWADHIN the very identity spells magic, for it is an acronym.
Situated at Tatarpur and only 3.5 km from Bolpur Santiniketan Railway Station, SIP, an endeavour of ‘SWADHIN’ is now committed to produce competent professionals in respect of the changing needs of the life and society. The campus is linked with communications spreading over different points of transit Again the campus is just one km away from Bolpur Sub- Divisional Hospital at Sian.
The institute is entirely free from all sorts of pollution and disturbances.
The total area of the campus spreads over a land area of 15 acres. Building of the Institute covers nearly 40% of the area. It deserves special mention that "SWADHIN" also runs here other institutions - Santiniketan D.Ed. College and Santiniketan College of Education, Santiniketan B.Ed. College and Santiniketan Private ITI.
The spacious classrooms, well-ventilated laboratories well equipped workshops, rich library, tranquil reading room, well furnished tutorial halls, administrative office, internet services, pay canteen, common rooms, hostel facilities, etc. are available to scholars Cultural programs, games, sports debates, counseling cell mock interviews, recreational breaks, etc. feature on the SIP calendar.
শান্তিনিকেতন ইনস্টিটিউট অব্ পলিটেকনিকে'র" CST ডিপার্টমেন্টের বিভিন্ন কর্মকান্ডের মধ্যে নতুন একটি কর্মকান্ড হল-- বিনামূল্যে পাঠ্যক্রম বর্হিভূত বিষয়ে যেমন "Use of BASIC JAVASCRIPT on Interactive web-page development"-এর ওপর প্রশিক্ষণ প্রদান। কলেজের পাঠ্যক্রম ভিত্তিক পড়াশোনার পর সান্ধ্যকালীন সময়ে CST DEPARTMENT-এর সমস্ত ২য় এবং ৩য় বর্ষের শিক্ষার্থীরা এই প্রশিক্ষন নিচ্ছে নিজেদের practical field- এর উপর দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধির জন্য।"শান্তিনিকেতন ইনস্টিটিউট অব্ পলিটেকনিক" আয়োজিত ষষ্ঠ কর্মমেলার (Job Fair) উদ্বোধন করলেন SRI PURNENDU BASU, Hon"ble Minister-In-Charge, Department of Technical Education & Training & Skill development, Govt. of W.B.। আজ বোলপুরের মুলুকে "শান্তিনিকেতন ইনস্টিটিউট অব্ পলিটেকনিকে"র চত্বরে এক বর্ণাঢ্য অনুষ্ঠানে এই কর্ম মেলার সূচনা করেন মাননীয় মন্ত্রীমহোদয় । ITI পাশ, মাধ্যমিক পাশ ও উচ্চমাধ্যমিক পাশ যোগ্যতাধারীদের কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ করে দেবার লক্ষ্যে এই কর্ম মেলার আয়োজন করা হয় । দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে মোট ১৪টি কোম্পানি এসেছে এই কর্ম মেলায় । সকাল থেকে শুরু হওয়া কর্মী বাছাই প্রক্রিয়া চলে প্রায় রাত্রি ৯ টা পর্যন্ত । শতাধিক কর্মপ্রার্থী এই কর্ম মেলা থেকে কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ পাবে বলে আশা প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে । সহস্রাধিক কর্মপ্রার্থী আজ এই কর্মমেলায় কর্মসংস্থানের জন্য নিজেদের নাম নথিভুক্ত করে ।
উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে মাননীয় মন্ত্রী কৃষিক্ষেত্রে কারিগরী বিদ্যার প্রয়োগ সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত আলোকপাত করেন । "স্বাধীন ট্রাস্টে"র সভাপতি মাননীয় মলয় পিট মহাশয় ইনডোর প্ল্যানটেশন ও রঙিন মৎস্য চাষের পরিকল্পনার কথা ঘোষণা করেন ।
শান্তিনিকেতন ইনস্টিটিউট অব্ পলিটেকনিক" এর CIVIL ENGINEERING ডিপার্টমেন্ট নিজস্ব যে You Tube চ্যানেল তৈরী করেছে, তার আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্বোধন করেন পঃবঙ্গের কারিগরী দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত মন্ত্রী মাননীয় পূর্ণেন্দু বসু মহাশয় । এই চ্যানেলে CIVIL ENGINEERING এর যাবতীয় বিষয় বাংলা ভাষাতে upload করা হবে । এছাড়াও ইলামবাজার Govt.ITI এর শিক্ষার্থীরা যে "ILLAMBAZAR GOVERNMENT ITI" APP তৈরী করেছে তারও উদ্বোধন করেন মাননীয় মন্ত্রীমহোদয় ।
